We are so excited to share the news that Ciovita has been appointed as the official technical apparel partner to the global Epic Series of mountain biking events. Now that the news is out there, we thought we'd share a bit more info about the partnership and what it means for Ciovita going forward.
A TRULY EPIC RACE CALENDAR
The Epic Series includes 9 multi-stage races with the most well-known being the flagship ABSA Cape Epic, an 8-day, 647 km race in South Africa’s Western Cape. This prestigious race is unlike any other in the world and has been accredited as hors catégorie (beyond categorisation) by the UCI. The race is often referred to as the “Tour de France of Mountain Biking” and is broadcast in 22 languages to 175 countries including the UK, USA, Germany, Italy, France, Spain, Czech Republic, Japan, Brazil, and Egypt.
Aside from the Cape Epic the Epic Series also includes a range of classic and legend races taking place in Wales, Croatia, Switzerland, Andorra, and Australia.
ON THE GLOBAL STAGE
Since we launched Ciovita we have earned a range of endorsements, both locally and abroad, and have quickly risen to take our place as a leader in cycling apparel. We have been named Kit Brand of the Year by Bicycling Magazine and were voted South Africa’s Favourite Mountain Bike Brand in the Garmin poll run by Tread Magazine. However, few things make us prouder than seeing our kit worn by the very best in top competitions around the world. Anyone who has ever attended the Epic prologue can attest to the sheer amount of Ciovita kit that is worn at the event, and we relish the opportunity to bring our kit to all events that make up the Epic Series.
The first event of our partnership with the Epic Series will be the 2022 Absa Cape Epic. Scheduled to take place from 20 to 27 March, the race will once again bring the world’s best mountain bikers to the Western Cape to test their skill and endurance.
The Epic Series provides us with yet another opportunity to bring our kit to cyclists in every corner of the globe. We are exceptionally proud to be associated with this prestigious event and look forward to a long and successful partnership. A large part of our offering has been providing custom cycling kit to numerous teams participating in events around the world and now, as Official Cycling Apparel Partner to the Epic Series, we will be designing and manufacturing the coveted Epic Series leader jerseys.
These jerseys are packed with world class features and have been meticulously crafted by our dedicated team to ensure that they stand out and offer the leaders everything they need to perform at their peak in a wide range of challenging conditions.
